I have a 2016 Tacoma SR and I'm wanting to add trailer wiring so I can tow my boat. I already installed a hitch. What is the easiest and cheapest way to add wiring ?

get the towing package or get it done from a trailer dealer there's a lot of splicing of wires which if not done right will give you lots of problems

Thats good. I just wanted to throw that out there, because I work in the boating industry, and I have witnessed it myself, someone said thier car would tow it because they added a hitch.

I would go to a good local hitch place and have them do it. That's what I did on my other Tacoma and they did a really nice job and even used the factory connector (the one on the bumper next to the tag).

I added a hitch and wiring to my wife's old vehicle. It wasn't a hard job and came out great. We used a curt product.

If you only need a 4 pin, there is PNP kits that tie into the tail light. Pretty quick and easy. If you need a 7 pin, it’s gonna suck.

Both are Stock - built correct from the start.
Check out Etrailer.com. They may have a "plug n play" harness for your truck. I got mine from them(2019 Tacoma)

Strap a little kid in the back of the trailer with 2 flashlights, yell out there window "I'm turning left". Blink blink blink...

Cheap as it can be... :)
