Too many to list, and I've probably forgotten a bunch.
AN extra $20 for beer, over several haircuts/years adds up. Multiple that across 12 years since I've been to a barber....and...shit...I could own a bar by now. Or something.

Not really. Been going to the same person for hair for many years now. Only reason I could see for a barber is for the face...but I let that grow out, take a hair trimmer to it, then begin the cycle again. Beer is involved but it's on the house:drunk:

Today was last day to fill area 10 dep cow elk tag, couldn't make anything happen. I hiked my nuts off on this hunt earlier this year and didn't see shit so decided to just cover ground and glass on my atv this weekend. Was definitely alot more relaxing but not surprisingly again didn't see shit(aside from a ton of mule deer), either way never disappointed to spend time amongst the beauty of this area. taco rubies 3 copy.jpg

    Tag soup for you.

BTDT, sucks. BUT, you got the tag and you go out to use it. Beats the hell out of the alternative!

So, anyone have any advice on putting in for a NV mule deer tag this year? I finished the hunter safety (did mine in the early 80's in CA, certificate is long gone) and I'm going to get the combo fish/hunt license this year. I want the preference points - seems silly to not collect them, and in the fall, if I'm not looking for bucks, I have no reservations about looking for upland game birds.

I know the entry doesn't start until Spring, so am I jumping the gun to even be thinking about this right now? I've got cabin fever bad. Really bad. Moving last year, I missed out on pretty much everything, and it hurts. It hurt even more when we were getting a Christmas tree up west of Verdi and a big old mulie buck trotted across the road. A mule deer is on my bucket list (CA is mostly Columbian blacktail - nothing to be ashamed of, but I'm angling for something different).

Maybe it's the Sun and being stuck in the office and wanting to be OUTside that's got me thinking about this. But I'll be damned if I can't smell a freshly tagged and bagged deer right now....

First line - 'advice'. Any tricks to this? For example, the CA forms were confusing as hell for a number of years, in terms of preserving your preference points if you didn't get your tag.

I can't really look at the NV forms/system yet, so I was wondering if there are any gotchas involved with how it works in NV.

The new system is WAY easier to use, so Id say you’ll be okay. Post if you have problems.

Yeah the new system is pretty easy. Do it early so of you have issues we can try to help. Poke around NDOWs website, they have some good tools as far as draw odds and hunter success rates for all the areas.

As Max and TJ said, the new site makes it really easy. The old site was fairly convoluted.

Ans that was my advice. Put in for one :D

Try tracking down that cert. you might have to pay to get it reprinted. Download a copy of the previous years big game book and study it. Also, if you can afford it, buy a subscription from gohunt.com money well spent if you apply in multiple states. What part of Cali are you from?
