OV tune

So how many of you have installed OV? Or even techstream? I'm not completely computer illiterate, but it might be cool to get some help.

 

Saying you are computer illiterate is a pretty poor excuse for 2020... Just saying.

I'm not computer illiterate. It's more to shoot the shit and get a walkthrough. Just help prevent the easy mistakes while meeting someone new over a common interest

They can't seem to even answer direct much less public questions????

 

That's because it is a 2-man shop and most people can't follow simple directions when he says EMAIL HIM and not ask on the forum due to the bombardment of insanity. Whenever I have emailed him he always answers.

 

I would try @lapoltba. He is very savvy and has helped me in the past

I did email them about 2nd gen tune, I also used their social media accounts (if you aren't going to respond, then close those sites.. since those questions will go to their emails unless they aren't smart enough to configure their social media accounts)

 

Ive got it, more than satisfied with the time it took for responses and set up was minimal. He's got written and video instructions pretty much side by side. Best money you can spend on your truck that provides immediate gratitude.

 

Did he drop the price? I thought it used to be 799, now it's 699? Or was the with the single, that I'm thinking of?

 

I believe it used to be but I can't remember. I was interested back when it was dongle, and you had to buy the cable separate. Now it's all one package and I believe to be cheaper but can't remember. I only finally pulled the trigger cause there was a used kit for sale that cut down my cost (still need to buy a license for 300ish). Knowing what I know now, still worth the money and should have bought it earlier on even at full price.

 

He has specifically requested all emaill go to his support email.

 

what part of he didn't reply to my email so I then posted on social media... they don't care about 2nd gen anymore since the 3rd gen has taken off.. I asked a simple question of if I bought the standard tune and later bought a supercharger is there an upgrade cost to get the new tune or do I have to buy it again for the supercharger?

Glad you guys got great support.. I'm just saying I didn't.

The reason I was interested in the OV was there setup was plug and play simple, where techstream you really need to know what you want to configure versus plug and play.

 

I totally know it's worth it and have every interest to do it, I'm just slacking. Maybe once I get techstream up and running on my PC it'll get the motivation going haha.

Yeah man, there's always various circumstances. I'm sure the 3rd gen is very time consuming to develop, but still. It's hard because having a presence is necessary for advertisement, but it creates the illusion you support that media actively. I like to give everyone the benefit of the doubt, I don't think he would scoff at taking your money, you know? Things slip through the cracks some times.

 

Techstream is pretty simple...except you can tell it was designed by a developer and not a designer. The nesting is horrible Click > click > etc.
