    Nope just fwd. But still looking at 3-4k so roughly half the cars value. 2004 with 135k.

    Yup. I think with her money situation a 2016+ Hyundai or Kia may be in her future.

    Just make sure they’ve got a good warranty!
    And the way Hyundai/Kia work you have to service it with them or they can deny a lot of warranty claims

    Yeah, shes close to a dealer so thats not a problem. They come with that 100k mile warranty which is nice.

    I've been doing it lately. Well, sleeping in sweatpants and socks..easier to get up and start my shift with the kid every 2 hours throughout the night rather than getting dressed each time lol

    you dont - just trying to suggest an alternative. hell, if I do convert the truck to 4WD, the trans I pick up may take a crap in a year. Just have to weigh if the cost of doing a little work now and perhaps pushing that new or fairly new vehicle purchase on the shelf for a couple of years or forget the gamble and just do the vehicle purchase now. risk in everything. We do the same with our trucks. something craps out - we decide if its truly worth the repair or if we move on.

    anyway, just trying to help. hope it works out for her. truly sucks when things like this happen.
