So I plan to run the antenna wire along the window weather stripping. Here is a picture. The yellow line represents the antenna wire. My question is where I have the green circle. What is that rubber plug and does it come out? Also is that point of entry where I need the wire to be? Thanks.

I mounted mine centered on roof above windshield, right at the windshield edge. Routed wire under windshield weather stripping, down to engine compartment, and then through the firewall.
Works great, except when fully inside my house garage; it loses signal then (which is trivial since I don't sit in my garage listening to Sirius XM - normally).

So it’s June 2022, but this is what I just did. Removed the cowl beneath the wipers, bent and mounted 16 gauge steel just beneath the plastic cowl to seat the SiriusXM antenna and ran the wiring through the firewall. Haven’t driven around much in this configuration, but I’m getting SiriusXM within my garage and there’s no visible antenna anyone can mess with.

A lift, some wheels, some tires, some performance, some cosmetic and then audio.
I dropped the headliner and ran it out of the 3rd brake light and it sat on the roof.
