We are doing 2 tone. Black roof with Tiffany blue for the body. So having sharp lines is a must.

Hopefully we can get a decent cure. I will try to apply some tape on an inconspicuous area and see how it does!

I read every FAQ/instruction manual I could find. Nothing mentioned. As I said just above, I’m gonna try to mask over some inconspicuous area and see how it turns out. It was tacked up and practically touchable 30 minutes after spraying.

And I agree with you on the warmer weather.. We picked up one of these bad boys! It’s awesome! 200,000 BTU

I Raptor lined a 4Wheel Camper two-tone. White roof, silver body. It was a couple of nice summer days in the 70's and I believe the roof cured to back-mask it in 24 hours. Just keep your space heated and check an inconspicuous area (as you both mentioned) and you should be fine.

It dried well overnight, we taped over the freshly lined roof, and this is our result!

Whoa! That's Super Fine! Making me excited to get to my truck this spring. Very nice job. Did you use the gun provided with the kit? If so, what psi were you running?

Thank you! And nah, I’m just little old emelianenkov.

Why thank you! It was a super easy process, just follow instructions and it’s virtually impossible to screw up!

I used the gun that came in the kit. We were using a 21 gallon Kobalt compressor which did alright, though it didn’t have the volume to keep running under load for a super long time, so be mindful of your pressure as you’re spraying. I had a pressure regulator on the gun to monitor. I ran it at 65 psi because we were going for a mild texture.

I raptor lined my 1st gen and did some camo air brush over the Raptor. The job was easy enough as this was my 1st ever paint work. Watch some you tube video and read all instructions and follow and you'll be fine. Masking is critical.DSC00911.jpg DSC00916.jpg DSC00920.jpg DSC00928.jpg

No I ended up doing a single-stage acrylic. It turned out ok.

Since then, though, I've Raptor lined F/R Bumpers and sliders with solid results.

Doing this Saturday, question for the folks who have lined their truck already. Think a 20-gallon air compressor that runs 7.1 cfm at 100psi is enough? I know it recommends 8, but I’m going for finer texture and wasn’t sure if that’ll suffice for spraying more around 35-50.

Any advice greatly appreciated, and yes the bed is super duper prepped.

The answer is yes for anyone with the same concerns. Shot at more like 50-60. Compressor more than handled the job.

I've had my doors painted with raptor liner in a can for a couple weeks. I can't peel it off and it wont rub off. It's very good for a spray can! I prepped them with 80 grit on a DA and a red scotch bite. Then 1k etch prime in a can.

Bought 2 cans of aerosol Raptor Liner, will probably buy 2 more before I spray the steps on my truck. I hope this stuff sticks to the textured powder coat that’s on them.

If you are worried, get a can of adhesion promoter too.
