Does anyone around Portland have a recommendation for an affordable powder coater? I might need to have a rear bumper powder coated so I'm getting my ducks in a row before pulling the trigger. My guess is a rear bumper costs around $200 to PC, but I could be wrong.

I’ll be in the same situation later this year. Who did you go with? Good work?

Just adding another recommendation: Precision Powder Coating in N Portland off Vanc Ave.
    Quick response to my email.
Pretty fast turnaround time. Quoted me 2 weeks and it was all done within 10 days.
I thought price was pretty good: $500 for sandblasting, prep and powder coat for a front bumper with full hoops and a rear bumper with tire carrier swing arm and a bunch of small brackets and parts.
    Everything looks great.

I got BK59 (by Cardinal) as recommended by Precision Powder Coating. It's got a slight texture. Looks good to me.

I dropped off the bumper at Color FX on Monday. The shop was recommended by a coworker's father who is a welder. They said it's a bout a 1 - 1-1/2 week turn around time. They said their flat black has a 20% gloss to it so I'll keep it at that.

Plug for local business I came across:

I ordered an arb pump up kit from a local vendor in Vancouver, WA I found online, https://www.kdfabworks.com Since they're local I asked to pick it up to save me shipping so I got in touch with the owner, Kurt. They don't have a storefront but he had to make a run to their powdercoater in Portland and volunteered to drop it off to me. Out of curiosity I asked him who they use and she said Color FX and he's been pretty happy with them which put me at ease. So, if you're in the market for jeep/ford/chevy armor or other off-road accessories y'all should check them out and help support local business!
