Just wanted to show off the new shell. Not a ton of info on the HD models out there.

ARE CX HD w/ full glass windoors both sides, sliding front glass, HD ladder rack, and carpet headliner. I was originally going to try to mount a prinsu cap rack, but figured I would just stick with the ARE bars since all I’m mounting is my RTT.

Looks good. How much? I was looking at Leer/Snugtop today. Planning to find an ARE dealer as well to campare.

    Here's my Leer 100XR quote.

    100XR, $1775
    Headliner, $0
    Remo Front Slider Window, $125
Two Windoor sliders, $200 per side.
    Rails Only, $200
    Gas prop switch, $26
    Keyless entry, $150
    Install, $200

    Total: $2876

I'm ordering it closer to my build date. The snugtop dealer quoted me $3000 for something similar and is further away.

I like it. Very nice.

After having both Leer and ARE, if I get another, it will certainly be ARE.

Did you have to do anything to the rear suspension?

Well, when I took it to get installed they told me that they screwed up and the estimate that they gave me was cost, but said that they were going to honor it anyway. I ended up paying $2,160 out the door.

Still on stock suspension right now. Sits pretty level with the shell on there. Figured I’d do everything to it that’s going to add weight and then do the suspension last.

Nice! I was wanting an ARE shell but unfortunately I found a great deal on CL for a week old Leer. Yeah, you read that right. Dude's wife didn't like the brand new shell so I got it at a huge discount. Traded my oem tonneau cover & some cash for it. Doesn't have all the options I would have liked but I can't complain, it's color matched & it serves it's purpose.

I really like the sape of this ARE, but the windows not matching the shape of the molded area for windows is kindofa dealbreaker for me.

I guess they are too cheap to make a separate mold for each model. Idk?

Is there another model that uses the same shell but has windows that actually fit the recsses?

Maybe the Z series? It has bigger windows on the sides that look similar to the recessed shape on the cx models.

I dont know what it is about the tan tacoma... everything looks so good on it, despite the overall color being hideous.

I don't know if it is the light or just my ocd, but the color looks slightly off.

The screen vent side windows match up to the cutout. The windoors require the metal frame around the window and it doesn't match the cutout.

It’s pretty spot on in person. In the picture though the shell seems to match the cab more and the bed is a lighter color.
