For y'all with a Sportster....what kinda mileage are you getting? Filled the tank for the first time today only cause the light came on right when I left the house. I was at 70ish miles...I thought I'd get a ton more. Haven't ridden above 45 since I'm keeping to the relatively quite roads by the house. Putted around parking lots the first 2 weeks. :notsure: Just trying to learn the new girl.

Don’t be scared of it! Get on it and ride! That’s what it’s for and that the only way you’ll learn what you and the bike are capable of. Ride within you limits and don’t be scared of dropping it because it’ll happen.

Get out on the freeway and let your fear keep you in check! Ride within your means but sooner or later, you’ll have to get out on the road so do it!

My bike is the first I’ve ever owned and I’ve been on bikes before but never owned one and used it often.

I live in CA and ride as often as I can and lane split! Whole new concept to me but said fuck it the first time I did so and now it’s like second nature. Really surprised lore states don’t adopt this as a practice.

I’m on a 1250 and it’ll move when I roll on the throttle.

I just wrapped up a 1500 mile trip on it to AZ and back to the Bay Area and mustered 750 miles each day on it!

A chance to whore out pix of my bike?...

    Count me in!!!

Bought her a couple years ago, looked okay when it was purchased but when i got her home and started going through to make sure everything was okay, it was a shit show lol! After a few upgrades and a lot of wrenching I have a really solid bike for those weekend get a ways!

Only mod I have left is to make a detachable chainsaw mount.

Love it! Question though, what is that bottle inside the left number plate/side cover? Headlight washer fluid?

It's a soap dispenser for washing my hands when they get dirty...

I'm joking lol, it's the radiator fluid reservoir. Works the same as on a truck.

This is my first liquid cooled offroad bike and I love it! No problems what so ever and I do alot of slow technical riding.

'06 Sportster 1200XL with 8200 miles. Picked her up Friday. She sounds so good with the open pipes and loud as hell! Wanting to put some apes and a single seat for when im riding by myself. Not much else i want to do to it right now.

Thank you. I was hoping there would be some cleaning and polishing to do on it but there isnt. The previous owner kept it immaculate. Even underneath is clean.
