Hi Folks. If this has been done before, please link me. I did a search and not much came up. Rather than post a general "what's the best tire" for all to see, I wanted to provide my use cases and get experience and insight from others in Washington.

I have a 2016 OR DBSB, lifted 2.75" and running 33/34s now. I bought the truck used with Almost new Nitto Ridge Grapplers. These tired are aweful in anything that is wet. Horrible in rain, mud, wet rocks, snow, slush, etc. I had Goodyear Wranglers on my 80 series land cruiser and loved them. Awesome in snow and ice. I haven't narrowed my decision down at all because I want to be open, I'm not even sure if I want another A/T or M/T. For M/Ts the KM3 seems like the lugs are not super far apart so dry pavement performance and noise might be better balanced than something like the Geolanders, Km2s, Discoverer.

Truck is daily driven. True offroading at least twice per month. Lots of time in the Mts. in the snow (I'm a skier). Where I live gets a fair bit of snow each winter as well.

    Thanks for the help.

An unusually high amount of pinstriping.
I'm running the KM3 (255/85/16) and have been happy with them. Being a mud tire they can get a little squirrelly on wet pavement and compact snow and ice, but not bad. There is a slight hum, but it's not bad and doesn't bother me. I've run them on all different kinds of terrain from deep snow a couple of weeks ago to the desert South West this past summer and everything in between. So far I've never had a problem with traction. This is my first time running the KM3's so not sure about milage. I pulled around 43,000 out of the KM2 I had on before these so I would expect about the same. Hope this helps.

I just started running 255/85/16 cooper stt Maxx and I love them. They seem quieter than my warn out KO2’s and seem to have good traction in the rain. Haven’t had them for a dry season yet, but I have had them up in the snow several times and they do great. So far I plan on buying another set when these wear out. CD18971C-1E4B-4CC0-9A63-09F14FB181D8.jpgNot really fair because they’re aired down in this pic but they’ll get you in deep no problem :thumbsup:5E5295FC-8F05-450B-B3AE-5525BF57B8D7.jpghard to tell from this pic but the lugs and tread pattern makes them look aggressive for an AT. Hopefully come spring I can test them out in the mud

X2 on the Coopers, same size. Great in the sand on the beach too.

I'm also running the Cooper ST Maxx in 275/70R17. been very happy with them so far. Driving around a lot the past few days in the lowland snow and they have been spectacular for ATs. I had a dedicated set of Blizzaks for my old 4runner and they arent quite as good but way better than I imagined. They also do fairly well on wet roads, trails, etc

I know a few guys running that tire with no complaints. There's a fairly good chance that I'll end up with it when the KM3's need replaced.

From the tons of research I did. Cooper at3 xlt is the lightest in 285/75/16. I read raving reviews about them and that was going to be my next purchase.

I have 885 coils on Bilstein 5100’s set to 0

I like it’s like 1.5 inch after settling. No rubbing at all, but I have the sway bar still on.

the guys at Enumclaw tire told me it’s what the watershed patrol trucks have. Figure if it’s good Enough to be used primarily for gravel driving they must be alright

Those measure to a 34.6, which most manufacturers consider a 35. I also considered these tires because i wanted a skinny 34, but i just went with Yokohama Geolander MT's in a 285/75/17, or 34.1x11", and am very happy with them so far. They're a lot quieter and smoother than i expected, push grill deep snow at 12psi, and do awesome on muddy, rooty trails. I run camburg upper arms and have my castor at 3, minor trimming and no cab mount chop. just my 2 cents

Does the 255/80 still fit in the spare tire spot under the bed?

They run them and Weyerhaeuser up north also runs them on their trucks along with a few other people I know.

I have the OME firm struts w/ the 886 coil and SPC uppers. I am also running the ARB bumper tho and haven’t had any issues. I’m about 2-2.5” up front from stock.

Hey thanks, it’s a work in progress. I went from stock 245’s in KO2’s to these, glad I made the jump. If I was worried about fuel economy I would t have bought a truck

I don't have very many pictures of the truck with the KM3's. Only a few from a trip to the southwest this past summer. Hope this helps.
