Who has an AK (and variants)?

My attempt at a FSB type rifle clone. It will be sometime before i get a proper zenitco stock so this will have to do.

 

I just got ahold of a 2003 Romanian SAR1. So far runs really well with my dead air sandman with subsonic ammo. Really considering shortening it down to 14.5" and putting rail on it.

 

what mags are those?

 

the red ones are Bakelites, there was a fresh batch imported about 2 weeks ago but there all about gone now.

 

Is that a M92 in the middle there? Looking into my first AK and love the option of being able to add a brace/folder on there

 

Yeah its a m92 with a stormwerkz folder, stinger 47 brace and gearhead hook. I really liked it but I just got rid off it last week actually, it threw huge fireballs lol.

 

There's something to say about the AK's simplicity, especially considering how effective it's been in the hands of illiterate peasants, children, and underfunded 3rd world armies for decades

 

What do you think about this system? A client is sending one over to our office to try out. Pricey, for sure, but still interesting. Different springs and spacers for different power ammo.

Looks cool. Never seen that before but my opinion on its is the original design of the ak has a reputation for being cheap to make, reliable and easy to use.
Adding more moving parts may result in potentially more points of failure. If that makes sense

The AK didn't earn its stubborn reputation without merit. You're probably right, fewer parts = probably better. We're getting one in the office so I'll take a swing with it to A/B.

 

I just ordered an ALG AKT. I've put ALG triggers in my AR builds, so I'll throw one in the Ak, too.

I’ve got one in my ak-p and absolutely love it

 

The first rifle I ever bought. Inter Ordinance, Inc. I added the flash hider and rail system. It came with a nice Tapco G2 trigger.

I just ordered KNS adjustable gas pistons for both my PSL and SBR.

I also ordered an SLR handguard for the SBR. I kind of like the Magpul furniture, but I'm going to add a laser to it eventually, so a more rigid mount is needed.
