Watch 5star car stereo on YouTube. They’ll give you a better idea of what to look for. They’ve done some 3rd Tacoma installs. If you’re going to do kickers, get the KS series for not much more in price.

I second the Kicker KS series--6 x 9's. These are 2-way speakers, so include a tweeter. I replaced the front speakers only with Kickers and was surprised how much of an improvement it made in definition and soundscape. I think having a good treble is key for that.

Anyway, you'll get a lot of advice. The Kickers are available at Best Buy along with the mounting rings and wiring adapter.

I swear kicker is making a fortune off tacomas just by making a tweeter for the subaru...

Just because people use the subaru tweeter doesnt mean you should go all kicker with everything. If you put in the kicker tweeter (in the dash), then you dont need or want 2 way speakers in the doors, you just want a woofer. If you put 2 ways in the doors, now you have 2 tweeters blowing at your feet and 2 blowing at the windshield.

Tell us your budget and we can help you from there. Also, 6.5 inch are rear speakers, you want 6x9 for the front.
