I did a bit of searching and I didn't really find much on the subject, I will be buying a 4wd truck but I prefer the locking hubs with the manual 4wd shifter instead of the 4wd button.
Does anyone have any insight on what it would take to do that swap?
Not completely set on what truck I'm buying yet but if that's a possibility to take it out of my 95 to put in a different truck then it won't limit my search as much
    Thank you

Get ready to do some reading Emmet - most if not all of the info is here...

    Edit:
Just saw the want for JShift vs your stock. Anyway, some of that info in the thread still helps.

As far as all of those parts the 95 I have that is totaled in my driveway has all of those things, would it be a bad idea to use all of those instead of buying new? Or is there certain parts I should buy new instead of using the used parts?

Not a bad idea at all considering you'll know the condition of said items.

I'd rebuild the hubs though since they're easy; buy new gaskets and o rings as well.

actually, what would be easiest is to just find the truck you want. ;)

Most of what you are trying to figure out now is going to be dependent on what truck you buy and its capabilities.

    tell me about it... lol

@Kwikvette and I are both working on 2WD to 4WD conversions. He's further along on the parts front but I'll catch up soon provided I can find what I need. Also helps to have a plan and stick to it.

That sounds like a project! I'm seriously considering a 99 in Florida right now. There sure isn't many 4wd trucks with less than 200k miles on them.

You can always go with a 2002-04 and just do the manual hub conversion I originally linked to. A thought if you can't find anything else.

    Shop for your truck .

If the 4X4 system it has Works why change things ??

When it breaks then swap things

I am sure you want a vehicle to drive not another project

It never fails always some simple part we all forget that can hold things up for weeks it seems

If a manual shifter is all you want, just find a truck with ADD+ J shift t-case.

But I would find what you want from the get go. Doesnt really seem worth it to rip out a perfectly functioning ADD system. Its not something that really fails often.
