Swapped it out with the Maestro, it works perfectly. For those who read this, do not get the Crux SERTY-61N. It does not work. The Maestro is $130 more, has anytime backup camera, customizable steering wheel controls, OBD-2 plug, and is just all around better.

Also fyi, if you had the base Entune you didn't have music data in the dashboard cluster but now I do.

where can I get one? How much should that run?

I have the Maestro installed with an older kenwood right now and never could get the cam to work anytime. About to install a new 6905S Excelon so idk if the unit could make the difference? A local stereo shop guy told I t should run anytime also. I do have the parking brake wire grounded. I guess when I reflash and install the new hu I’ll see if the camera will work anytime but not holding my breath. It will come on in park and momentarily while driving but cuts out very quickly. Not sure if it’s a certain speed that knocks it out or what? Mine is a 2011 btw.

I wish I could help you, but mine just worked. I think I had 2 cables from the Maestro for the camera.

Let me ask this, I did my install a couple of years ago with info from a thread in here on how to splice into the back up camera feed and as per that thread I have a little interference in the screen, not on my rearview feed, but on the hu. I just learn yesterday after watching a video the the outer wire wrapping on the video cable is actually a ground which I just cut off and soldered the center to splice into the feed. Now I’m thinking to clear up the interference I need to ground that outer wire from the video cable. But I don’t want to mess anything up. I would hate for it to short anything out. Never heard anything about this before this. Would like to clean up the feed a bit.

I just installed my new Kenwood DDX6905S and when I was packaging my old unit back in its box (to sell) I found a harness from the Maestro that says camera. May have to pull the unit back out and wire the back up cam that way to see.

Do you remember how yours is wired? Looked like that Maestro harness had 4 wires if I remember correctly. Does it give any extra features? I noticed when I flashed the Maestro it had something in there about special camera features.

I’m loving my new hu btw!

Question for u guys or anyone that’s had both wired and wireless carplay. It’s worth it right ? I have an older pioneer aftermarket nav unit that is old and doesn’t have carplay capability. Trying to decide on the kenwood dmx906s over the dmx706s and I’m thinking it’s an easy decision. 08 second gen with who knows how many years left before an upgrade. Just trying to tech her out some.

I have wireless in my Tacoma and wired in my Subaru. Love the wireless. Completely worth it to me. Just get in and go, phone syncs right up every time.

it’s not wireless but the unit I just put is is pretty awesome for the price. DDX6905S on Amazon for $298. And it’s an Excelon unit. I personally couldn’t justify the price difference for the wireless, but everyone has different finances. I have 2 young kids, daycare, etc so........

Mine had these 2 yellow connections which I think is for the camera... No idea where they go to though, don't have a picture of that.. don't think it goes directly to the Maestro though.

You talking about the video feed? I’m meaning the reverse signal to activate it on the hu when shifting into reverse.
