Hello I'm new to this forum, I just trade my 2010 FJ for a new 2019 Tacoma TRD Sport, I really like my old JOYING radio on the FJ, but now I like to install a new radio on the Tacoma,
The brand is JOYING model # JY-TO160N4GS-1 (includes Can-Bus decoder)

Does anybody installed this radio on a Tacoma with JBL sound system ?
    any problems ? Joying radio.jpg

I just installed this same unit in my JBL equipped pro and I found it to be pretty plug and play. Although I have an issue with it not being loud enough... I have to check to see if it is actually turning the amp on but my sub seems to work. Just not as loud even at max volume ‍♂️

If it's playing sound then the amp is on. The output voltage of the RCA pre-outs is likely just lower than what you had so you'll have to bump up the gain on your amps a bit.

    Taco-Baja,

How did this work out for you? It looks great!
Is the Joying an exact fit and plug and play in your 2019 Tacoma?
Was the volume issue ever figured out?

    Thanks

What are you actually listening to? Spotify? I had to turn off automatic sound level in spotify and it was like I added a huge 4 channel amp or something. Same head unit.

Turns out it was the wrong Canbus settings in the radio. Finally it came alive but now I need to get the CarPlay phone volume to be the same as everything else...

Have you had any issues with the sound just dropping out? Also what canbus setting are you using?

@Aliosha323 What Canbus settings did you use. Here is my issue.

I need some help / advice. I bought the 9" Andriod 10 Joying Head unit model # JY-TQ160N4G. I installed it in my 2020 Toyota Tacoma, non JBL system. I got the harness for my model and a canbus box. The head unit works great without the canbus plugged in. I do not have steering wheel controls and the back up camera does not work. When I plugged in the canbus, the screen goes directly into reverse mode. I do not see any video, just lines. I have chosen all of the surjusted options in the canbus settings on the headunit, but still does not work. I have rebooted and tried making other settings. But as soon as I plug in the canbus it goes into reverse mode. I know on the harness the Orange cable that says BACK is the trigger wire for the camera, at least thats what I think. But when I checked the voltage on this wire, its a constant 12v, even when the car is off. I tried another canbus from Joying same PN# different model for Toyota, and it does the same thing. What am I doing wrong. I decided to cut the orange cable, just so that the reverse option does not trigger, but I still do not have steering wheel controls. Here is a video of my issue:

Please someone help me. I mainly need the backup camera to work, and I will love to have the steering wheel controls working. If I have to splice into the wires I don't care, just tell me how or point me in the right direction.

HU could be defective, definitely don't remember having issues like this.

Tried setting RAV4 as your vehicle in the cambus factory settings? code is 3368

    EDIT:

Actually you might need a special Canbus/cord for the 2020, I recall you having to specifically tell them so they send the right one.

I have this radio in my 2016 Tacoma and my back up camera isn’t working either. When I go in reverse all I see is a black screen and the revere lines. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix it?

Depending on what version of the radio you have, there should be multiple yellow rca cables. Try switching them around a bit. Also try using the "video/aux" app in the radio when in reverse, if it works in that app, then your plugged into the wrong hole.

Hey bud, did you ever get this working? I have a 2021, and everything works for me, except the rear camera. I'm working with Joying, but they have no solution yet, and it's so frustrating to have 99% working but no camera! Thx
