There are certainly others out there. I've just personally had the most success with Gaia. From the planning, tracking, program reliability and general flow of use I've had the best luck with it. Same with file sharing. Zach and I cross reference maps all the time when we go out. The other day I sent him a link with the map (free version) to a prospect trail.

The cost doesn't bother me. I burn more in fuel Tha. The app costs for a decade. And I use it probably 35 weeks out of the year conservatively.

The reason I pay for the full list of maps that aren't always free else where is in some far remote places you'll have a situation like a water crossing you're not sure of, and we all know the trail maps can be nonsense, but the historical map shows a road there which means there is an actual path on the other side and feature list doesn't show any dams that have been built or destroyed meaning the depth is probably alright depending on the time of year.

They're all just tools. Which ever one works for you is the right one.

I'll be in Arizona on another trip. I would like to check out Maine North though one day. Hopefully we can do this again.

Just hit up @SR-71A or @Dirtridercrf250. They both travel quiet a bit and I'm sure could give you a tour.

Uhhh. Columbus day weekend round 2? But, I don't know the NMW as much as others, that might not be a great time to go. But depending how this trip goes I could be convinced.

Would be fine. That's a good time of year to head north.

    I smell round 2.

Ive only been in the western woods during that time of the year, logging operations were heavy but not much going to the mills. Although I will have to see when homecoming is. I'm not making that trek 2 weekends in a row. If I go to homecoming this year I'm taking a bus

well the 3TPAM is installed, not too bad took about 45minutes total, but the right side bracket made putting on the trim bezel kind of a pain.. this mount is definitely STOUT and will handle the tablet (7" samsung TAB B), I may upgrade at some point. I did have to order a set of ball mounts that will take a 10-20 bolt through the mount.. and at some point I'll order the wiring cover for it. but it looks great on the 3rd gen...

They're not so bad. Should last you a long time.
I'd suggest running a designated power line instead of using that vampire tap though. If you have both those USB plugs in use and the dc plug outlet you could have issues.

My screen for my GPS is 3":p
I run the Hilux one, it's a bitch putting on but does an ok job.
I recently pulled off the top fist bump and switched to a Donaldson Top Spin which I like alot better.
I like the Hilux one because it doesn't stick out to much off the truck, also way cheaper than the others I found.

Damn.. very temping but not sure Im totally ready to blast a huge hole in my truck :D And to be honest I think this weekend was a fluke (maybe woulda helped if I slowed down a bit. Swear I was kicking up a 20-30 foot rooster tail :anonymous:)

Also... just had the thought that I need to do some research to see if I even could install one, what with my house battery on that side..
@Skierrichy you have any pictures of the engine bay side of your install?

Thanks for the offer, but it sounds like you have a solid sale to @MY50cal lined up
