I’m in the market love the look of these racks and versatility. My only question is how much height is added with this rack ? Prinsu adds 2 inches. The reason I ask is I’m very tight fitting into my garage. Thanks mate !

 

Id say about the same. Here’s an in progress pic and it is lower than the top of the shark fin.

With a load bar running across the sunroof, are you able to open your sunroof?

 

1.8" to the height. Lowest out there!

 

That was temporary until he got the adapter kit from UpTop. After putting that in place, I do believe he can.

Yes this was a WiP picture that I have that best shows the height you asked about. I have since installed much of the remaining bars.

On an Alpha, there are seven, I believe the bravo has six. From the Front if you have a sunroof you essentially skirt bar “three” with two sideways flush crossbars outside the sunroof. Bar “two” in the above pic remains and does not hit the sunroof regardless. Since taking this pic, I now have my ham radio motor mount on bar two which allows me to see if it is up/down with a quick glance...just one way of making use of the flexibility of these racks.

Aside from the Amour offered on the Alpha, you get a Seventh bar and Shark Fin “thinfin” mod kit. This is a really clean way to route additional wires. In my case I have a whole slew of wires and routed my 24 strands and antennas differently and I have my roll bar mount behind so may never need the thinfin. (The shark fin antennas suck anyway).

Overall I’m thrilled with my rack, happy to provide rave reviews and much unsolicited advice, despite not getting an upTOP decal with my orders.
