I went out on my Lake last Friday. Caught 1, wife caught 4.

When I get skunked on Clearlake I always go back to my Lake, I know I can catch them there, even though they may be dinks.

Went out ice fishing today. Caught about 10 trout between myself, my two brothers and my paps. Marked a ton more on the fish finders and missed a few as well. So much fun.

Day 2 on the ice was also a success. Terrible conditions most of the day, but we managed to get a few more. I don’t usually keep trout, but decided to take a few home with us this afternoon.

changed out my lake rods from braid to flourocarbon. Did a test with my brother and used the exact same crank bait, he had flouro i had braid. He caught 4 i was skunked. I've been thinking braid sends noise down the line for a bit now so i made the swap. I also got in touch with SixGill about my Crius reel groaning and the gears being extremely loud and he advised me to open it up and grease the gears. Now i just need to hit the water to test!

After a weekend of ice fishing, I took my dad and one of my brothers to the delta this afternoon. My dad caught a couple small stripers and I caught a SUPER nice trout. Honestly didn’t know there were trout in there, but it was cool to see one. Glad we didn’t get skunked!

Same. If I’m lucky I’ll be able to sneak off for a few hours, but likely won’t be able to. Sucks ass!

Today was the last day my paps was in town so I took him to some ponds north of Sacramento. We were able to get about 10 solid couple pound bass.

weather was pretty shitty in the morning, but became sunny halfway into the afternoon. The bass were incredibly aggressive and smashed the spinner and rapala I threw out.

Only managed to get a photo of one:

This weather is absolutely beautiful. I hope someone on here is able to take advantage of it today for some fishing.
