    Because I don't think it's physically possible to reduce the RPM from 6k to 1k in half a second.

    I would assume you are shifting.. that is very different then just letting the rpm free fall in neutral 6k to 1k.

    What we are looking for is to have the revs drop about as fast as if we turned off the ignition. Nothing artificial from the ECU.

    That sounds easy, but Toyota made it hard. Just look at that flow chart.

    I wasn't talking about speed shifting. "As fast as you can", because it won't really let you just drop it in at those rpms. My apologies if I worded that wrong. Im a heavy haul trucker, I float gears in my work truck all day long. But I don't recommend it in our trucks. Sure, you can, but grinding, or even scratching is much more damaging than an unsynchronized trans. I believe the teeth on our gears are brass coated or something like that for smoother shifts. Bang a gear while floating can remove teeth and your sol

    That is absolutely unreal!
    I give credit to the damn tree hugging POS hippies and the EPA! 99% I would wager its their BS polices and rules that forces manufactures into this type of calibration.

    What is even crazier is the full flow chart. I can not even wrap my head around that utter nonsense.

    :rofl::rofl::rofl:

    And no more coasting in 6th. That shit is offensive apparently. There are rules to driving manual and you have to follow them anyways. Don't be lazy.

    Whether you can see my post or not I feel privileged. Now back to your coasting down from 6th and wondering why your truck drives like shit, lol.

    And? I play around the rev line from time to time. That's really none of your concern. You do you.
