Night Danny

 

A man walks into a bar at the top of a highrise in New York. He sits down across from another man with a shot glass in front of him at the bar. The stranger looks at him, downs his shot of tequila, and walks out onto the balcony without breaking eye contact. He steps up onto the railing and jumps over the side without a blink. Completely freaked out, the newcomer pulls out his cell phone and starts to dial 911. As he does he sees the man who just jumped step out of the elevator and return to his seat at the bar. The newcomer, now completely stunned, hangs up, staring at the completely unharmed jumper.

The newcomer finally picks his jaw up off the floor and asks the man how on Earth he pulled that off. The stranger says to him, "it's this tequila! I don't know how, but I drink it, jump, and it stops me before I hit the ground!" He orders another shot, drinks it, and they both walk outside to the railing. He juMPS, and, sure enough, just before he hits the ground he slows to a gentle stop and lands gracefully on his feet.

The newcomer runs inside and orders a shot of the same tequila. He downs it, runs outside, and dives headfirst over the railing. Moments later, he hits the ground and explodes into a red mush on the sidewalk below. About the same time, the stranger steps out of the elevator, sits down at the bar, and orders another shot. The bartender pours the tequila and says, "you're a real jackass when you're drunk, Superman".
