    Looks good

The original mirror cover had a line, I thought it looked better without though. If anyone wants the line printed in just let me know on your order.

I installed my overlay badge today using hot glue, careful if you use hot glue because it will distort the face of the badge.

Hey guys. I know I'm a bit of an outsider here (FJ Cruiser owner), but any of you guys own both? I would really love to swap my emblem out but I'm not sure if they're the same size. I've got a friend friends with Tacos, but they're all Second gen.

Got my grey TRD logo. Love the way it looks and it matches the TRD coin tray I got off eBay perfect. It looks like it can be glued on top of the old logo. Are you guys doing that and if so, what type of glue are you using? I saw the post about the hot glue. I don't have a hot glue gun anyway so I'm hoping someone can point out the best type to buy.

I just used a few drops of super glue. My retro overlay (glued on top of old logo) has been on a couple months and holding fine.

Thanks for the info. That's what I was going to try but I wasn't sure if the super glue would stick good to that fake chrome on top of the plastic. I don't want to put it around the edges in case it smears around the sides and ruins the steering wheel. Didn't want to damage it by prying it off either. If it sticks like super glue normally does, a few drops on the emblem itself should suffice. I guess I'll give that a shot and see what happens. Thanks again!

Taking off the factory emblem is really a piece of cake .. dont let that part scare you from doing it the “right” way

The right way for the TRD overlay is to install it over the original badge.
The overlay is hollow on the inside.

You need to fill most of the voids, there are a lot of high spots. Super glue might only hold short term.

Got mine installed yesterday. This is an overlay over the existing logo. I hit it with a couple coats of matte spray to help with the sheen. Just used some scrap 3m double sided tape around the outer rim. I actually was going to do more and didn’t spend much time cutting the tape, was using this as a test, but seems to be holding! Only been a day but seems secure enough!

This is what happens when you use hot glue.
A lot of people in this thread suggested hot glue, even the seller.
I'm not going to worry about it, it still looks fine to me. The distorted area's are on the T and the D. I might buy another one if it starts bugging me though.

I suck at taking pictures. Installed mine today with a TRD coin box I got off ebay. Hard to see in the crappy picture but the color of both is really close so they look like they came together. I wound up using Gorilla Glue Gel to put the steering wheel logo on. Seems to be on there pretty good and I just put it on top of the existing one. I'll have my dark brown Katzkins, brown Weather Tech Liners and brown dash cover on by the weekend. Hope those colors look as good together as these.

I like the idea of the 3m tape for easy removal if needed, just got mine today. How is it holding up or would you rather glue it on?

I may do this "if" the 3m double stick tape "holds" and if they come out with one with the TRD letters in red.

I'm definitively not going to glue it and risk having a glue 'mess' if I end up not liking it or glue doesn't hold it long term.
