anyone running EMu shocks on their 3gen taco? I was looking at bilstein 5100 but a shop mentioned the leak in cold environments? I want to upgrade my bumper and was thinking I should upgrade the suspension as well. no remote res. Would like to keep the Maintance to a min. This is how I came across EMU

    Any thoughts on the shock.

I would disagree 5100s leak in cold climates. Ran mine over 100 000km and they were fine. Seems like a general statement IMO. Maybe they want to sell you more expensive? Only thing I would say is their coating /finish is not great for high calcium environments (associated with cold climates because of road salt etc). But most aftermarkets I've researched have some sort of surface corrosion after time.

being that I generally call cowtown home it is good to hear from AB since know what the temp can be. Right now I am in AK US.

I plan to put a C4 bumper on the truck. I figured I should upgrade my stock leveled suspension with better suspensions on the 2020. Before or at the same time as the bumper. The bumper is a bit of over kill for a bird putting a hole in my stock bumper. I like the no cut of this bumper, other then the plastic flairs

I like steel bumpers just as much as the next guy but like you said AB. It can be brutal for road rash. I see myself painting it every 2 years to keep up with the chips and then eventually rust. They look like crap IMO after a few years (in AB). Lol. But dont let me detour you! Your $.

No Thanks. Don’t need the extra mantanance and adjustability.
