What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

I decided to get rid of my chrome grill. I had painted it all black, but it was too much black.

Installed a FJ fog light switch for the Hella projectors . Found 3 of switch illumination bulbs were out. Ordered some t3 neo bulbs, and left the switches out for now.

New wheels and tires from @customoffsets, Method 701 with BFG 305-65-17, spiked lug nuts. Also installed a rear view mirror dash cam.

 

Cold night at Wind Creek State Park last night. Realized the RTT cover had a small tear under the strap. Made a temp repair.

 

1. Changed my oil
2. Found out what my front-end creak was when it dipped...skid plate somehow was making a sound even though it was tight. Added rubber washers and some synthetic WD-40, all gone
3. Bought a partner for my Tacoma (my wife’s), a Highlander Limited.

 

Real purdy. Love the bronze with the dark blue. Also like the color match ARB! Hopefully a color match ARB bumper will be in my future.

Yeah, my stereo had places for 2 inputs, so I figured why not. Never really use it though. But it does show a good view right in front of my bumper.

 

Got the rings for my TRD rims back from the powder coater.

Finally finished a few mini mods since the weather here in Chicago finally reached the 50's.


Seat risers from @olecoot that I painted black myself. Makes a huge difference to alleviate lower back pain and the odd angle the factory seats are at


Finally upgraded the OEM all weather mats to the Husky Weatherbeater floor liners after research comparing it to the Weathertechs. These are cheaper and material wont bend on the edges over time like the weathertechs do.
