We're drifting off topic, but, I'm on a random drug and alcohol screening program as a commercial helicopter pilot. I'm clean.

Still. Talk to the shop again. Most small businesses want and need to keep customers happy. 1 upset customer going around telling about bad service is detrimental to a small business. If they’re legit they will make it right.

    I really appreciate that.

I can't do weekends but I'll likely be available through the week until I am released to fly again.

Np. At the very least during the week I could fix the exhaust. Trans would be bit more time consuming. Lmk.

I’d probably pay another shop to fix the issues (since you are in no shape to do it yourself)
Then show the shop a list of things that were wrong not related to the aftermarket parts.
Because more than likely, they are going to try to place some of the blame on parts.
Then hope they offer you some type of refund, be it partial or full.

I know it sucks. But going the legal route will likely be more hassle than it’s worth.

That's what I figured. And I'd prefer to avoid legal action because of that. But a 5th grader would have done a cleaner install for 1/5th the cost.

That’s unbelievably crappy service. How do places like that survive? Rhetorical question..

I support canceling payment & I’d be wary of having them fix anything..Demand your missing parts and go on your way.

I’d let the owner know you intend to report the theft of the Lidocaine patches to the police. See what his reaction is whether you do or not.

What the fuck were they doing in your console? Did you have anything else in the glovebox, bins? Talk about criminals. The only difference is that they get their victims to come to them, they’re not out rifling through cars in driveways or parking lots. I live in a rural area and word would get around FAST if someone screwed a customer like that.

Hindsight’s 20/20, should have put a call out here to find a mechanic but you know that already, I think the narcotics are clouding your judgement .

It sucks that happened to you. I hope you get satisfaction.

BTW, you’ve got a pretty good eye in catching all that crap

I hope you get some kind of response from the owner. If you look up the the owner responds in defense of himself pretty timely with other displeased customers.

Yea, he definitely defends himself and his shop. He's doing the same in the text messages but he's not acknowledging any of the issues I'm telling him about or offering any solutions.

Unfortunately I don’t see you getting anywhere with the shop. Not unless you have the time to fight it?
And then, like before, it likely wouldn’t be worth it.

    Broken ribs suck.
If you were in East Tn. I be more than willing to crawl under there and help you man.
    BTW, Thanks for you service.

I agree. I think I'll just lose more money trying to get money back. Pretty shitty.

I appreciate the offer. I think next weekend a coupe friends and I are going to see what we can do.
