I just competed an install of Kicker components in the front (46CSS694) and coaxials in the rear (46CSC674) of my 2019 TRD Off-Road double-cab ... I used the tweeter harness from ********* (only place I could find it, oddly), and all worked well and the sound quality is GREATLY improved. But, I have a continual ringing coming from the driver's side tweeter. Music will drown it out, but talk radio doesn't mask it. Anyone else have such a problem? Could it be a bad crimped connection or possibly a bad crossover? It only seems to be coming from that one speaker. I'm thinking about taking the crossovers out and installing the Subaru tweeter upgrade if I can't figure it out. Thanks.

Yeah ... it's even weirder than I describe ... ringing present even with the head unit off. It's got to be either the speaker itself or more likely the crossover. The passenger side works perfectly.
Thanks - I might go the Subaru route if I can't get satisfaction from Kicker's warranty department.

That is odd. I did the Subaru tweeters which were 100 on Amazon and plug and play and the Kicker DS 6x9 and 6 1/2 for rear. I am not going to be powering them with an amp just head unit so these will do well with lower rms ratings and it has a high sensitivity which means it creates power more easily.

Just ordered the Subaru tweeters ... not going to mess around with all of the different adapters and splices anymore. I'm certain the Subaru tweeters sound a lot better than the paper tweeters that came stock ... wish they had a built in bass-blocker, tho. I look forward to getting them an putting them in ... and for the ringing to stop!

    Thanks again!

It looked like there was some sort of crossover or something built on to it if I remember correctly

That'd be good, but I doubt it. Haven't found anyone that says it has an in-line crossover. Anything is better than ringing!

The Subaru tweeter does have a small built-in crossover capacitor (mostly covered with a blob of black goop).
