Whats up fellow taco owners! Important question here,
First I wanted some feedback on an 3in rough country lift & was wondering if it’d be a good idea to get it installed?
Also, I am currently sitting on 265x75x16 tires , should I keep those on for temporary use until I get my 33x12.50x20 later ..

Why? You spent/are spending a bunch of money on a nice truck then put shit parts on it that will do nothing but wear out your components. Don’t do rough country...it is literally shite. If you are going to do a spacer do a “top-plate” spacer like the 3/2 top plate spacer from lowrangeoffroad.com

Uh, if you dont know the 2" rough country spacer I'm talking about is a "top plate" spacer.....going higher with a 3" spacer almost all the time requires new UCAs I know my 2007 needed new UCAs, never bought them. But with the 2" I put on did install myself actually softened the ride! It drives much better now. Small enough to not cause much stress yet tall enough to make it look great

Also no need for front differential drop kit, my 07 required a carrier bearing drop as well which I dont have to out on this one. So in all I think it worked out perfect

Do lots of research before you buy anything. There is alot more to lifting these trucks than just installing a set of coilovers or spacers. Whatever you do, don't install a shit product on your $40K truck. Good luck with your truck and welcome to TW.

Yeah def do some research I know I've been on both ends most people bash spacers but I ran a set of spacers and switched to 5100s on my 07 and both of them had their pros/cons. Its ultimately up to you as the owner of the truck. There are many options out there and everyone will have a opinion about what you decide on getting. No matter what setup you choose someone will have something to say, so like I said it's your truck do to it as you please.

I'm not saying down the road when the money is there I wouldnt mind changing my suspension and do stuff differently but hey for $70/installed myself couldnt ask for anything better!

I currently have a 3” front 1“ rear spacer from supreme suspension on my truck with 245/70/16’s. I returned my 2” coil overs from rough country just because I wanted the 3”. I’ll post a pic if no one else does tomorrow after work if you are interested in seeing it.

Ps soon I’ll have my 33s after I decide to stop being lazy and put longer studs on the truck
Pss I don’t off-road besides some field driving. So no need for 2k lift

Your lift is honestly gonna be as pricey as you want it to be. Depends on what you're actually gonna do with your truck. If you're gonna offroad it good other than cruising down country backroads then do it right from the get go.

I don’t plan on any off-roading. Just for style purposes & daily driving.

This is on point. Ppl on TW hate Rough Country, just the words get em fires up. If it’s just for looks and some dirt roads the spacers are just fine and your wheels won’t fall off or have your truck lose all of it’s value. Of course doing the 5100s is going to be better but you’ll be just fine if you go with RC. I had an old 89 ranger that had a 6in lift and I never had a problem even taking it off-road. Had it for 5 years no problem before we sold it
