Yea I was seriously considering 4:88’s. I probably will go to them before I switch to 37’s. The 20% reduction in power at a mile high is brutal.

I would love to but the raptor doesn’t fit on any of the trails in the Rockies. I want the raptor power and suspension in taco size.

Build a Samurai, put it on a trailer. Tow it with a Raptor. Solved.

I want a Sammy so bad.

I’m kind of stuck in my build now as a daily driver long travel overland setup. If I was starting over, I would build a 1st gen double cab for wheeling and overlanding and then a daily driver that has horsepower :)

I’ve checked out the sammies but with that wheel base, i’d spend half the time upside down.

Yea but I'm not sure if you did, post #3 and beyond reference an electric blower that uses electrical power to force air into the engine. Post #1 seems to describe an electric motor attached directly to the crankshaft via belt, some type of direct electric assist that does not involve air induction. I believe successful operation of the latter would violate some laws of physics without a battery of Tesla proportions

wait for the Ranger Raptor to come out in the US.

As a side note, not sure but a 48V mild hybrid conversion might not be too expensive and you get a little temporary HP bump from basically a larger alternator/starter motor.

Kind of a neat concept actually:

It's just a big motor pulling from a battery system and driving the crank. Good for a boost and Regen braking.

Kind of wonder if you could implement that sort of low tech... put a button on your steering wheel that activates the motor and a small power gauge to indicate how much battery you have left.

Otherwise when you aren't using it, it just runs as an alternator.
