Glad I ran across this thread... so I have my 2014 TRD Sport on factory 17” wheels “just bought it and it has brand new Terra Graples G2s”

But I have a brand new set of 16” GY Duratracs just sitting. So I am looking at two options.

A set of 2019 take offs with tires for $500 same as the Op. originally posted.

Or these, see picture year and design unknown to me, but I like the color rims only no tires.

I don't have pics, but I just put 3rd gen rims on my 09' Taco. I can't to get the TPMS light to turn off with the new install (I didn't put the wheels on myself). Is this because 3rd gen TDMS uses a different frequency? Anyone else experiencing this?

That's '16-'18 SR/SR5 option wheel. It was gun metal for those years and was repainted black '19 and onwards.

    Hmm . . . none as yet, that's why i'm here . . .
use the 2nd gen TPMS on 3rd gen wheels. Mount them 180 from normal position.

Painted the 3rd gen rims matte black and installed them a couple days ago. Thinking about painting the Toyota emblems white to match the truck.

Know they are not 3rd gen Tacoma wheels. But I went with the trail edition off a new 4Runner.

What size tires and do you have any lift? Need new shoes this spring and trying to decide between OE 265/70 or going up to 265/75. I kind of feel like the dbl cab long beds need a little more mass. I kind of just want to level my front end as well w/o sagging the rear. thx

The 3rd gen off road wheels really balance the look of the truck even with 265/70/16s.

I was worried about going 265/70/16 but I’m glad I did now. I won’t go back to the larger size again.

I have 265/70s on mine. It might look a little better with a slightly larger tire but it certainly doesnt need it for function.
