    More than I can afford
Maxtrax mounts, couple sections of aluminum angle, a drill, some paint, couple of carriage bolts and shuffling the Prinsu crossbars around to get the spacing right.

I got 2 maxsa, to have something while I get the rest of recovery essentials. Next year I’ll get 4 maxtrax and their mounts.

1/4” 4” carriage bolts in Prinsu rack. Going to try 3” bolts for lower profile. Also a little cable lock to discourage opportunists.

I was able to use some ideas from this thread to cut metal brackets, used some old t nuts for the bed rails and mounted the boards today.

KB Voodoo board mounts with some DIY 3/8x16 threaded rod and nylok nuts. Put heat shrink on the threaded section between the nut and where the knurled knob spins down to.

Slapped it on my Uptop Overland rack, but mounted it to the bottom of the load bars so it would sit lower.

Used the OEM tie down cleats to hold a mending brace. Then bought some knobs from Amazon. Works great, adjustable, no vibrations, easy to remove when needed.

Carriage bolts, some misc aluminum plates, and knobs. I used a SS door kick plate at the front of to allow mounting things in the gap between the bars. Saves alot of headache when you can just put the holes wherever you want them.

Just used a couple truckers hitches to hold them to the back bedrail. It aint pretty and would work way better with a longbed but does the job much better than anything else I've triedMaxtrax.jpg

1/4” aluminum stock, drilled with step bits and M8 bolts that slot into front runner roof racks.

What did you use to secure your boards to the mounts? What hardware?

This is my recent set up. I bolted the Treds to my Plano boxes using 5/16" stainless bolts and knobs. I think those are a bit to heavy for Plano's hinges to stack both on top of one case.
