Cobra is the only known name of the sniper Hathcock shot through the scope.

Another great book about a badass.

One of my fav books. Dude was a member of the Alamo Scouts in the pacific during WWII. They were MacArthurs version of special forces. Every major command made their own “elite small force,” the concept later became what the special forces are today. CSM Kittleson (The Raider) went on more POW rescue missions then anyone else. To include Bataan. Eventually retired in 1978 as the grizzled CSM of 7th group.

lol There’s a lot of stuff military do that’s not exactly something you tell your friends and family about. That one is pretty limited to a select set of individuals or missions though.

I cringe when I see movies try to recreate his exploits with their hero’s.

Jungle environment has stronger smells that could easily mask it.

When my dad flew on P3s, it was an unwritten rule not to take a dump during the flight because those airplanes didn't have chemical toilets...

No he shits in his pants. EVERYONE in the field shits in the woods. Although you’d be surprised, I used to be able to hold it for a week when we went out.

Iraq- that’s a whole different matter. There’s a blown up bus in a soccer field with my dna and gloves.

We have rainforest in Australia that has cycling odors, depending on the season, and even the time of day certain odors are more prevalent than others. Regrettably murderers have exploited that phenomenon and more than a few that have been reported missing have been found stuffed down in a bog or near a billabong.

Isn't Billabong a clothing company? I never knew it was something found in a rainforest...

It is, but a billabong is commonly a body of water that is cut off from a river or tributary and often ends up going stagnant.

Yeah, still chuckle when I see people wearing the brand as they have no idea what the word actually represents.
