    Still thinking about it.
I did a search for cb mount but didn't find what I was looking for. I'm wondering if you guys could share with me some preferred mounting methods for permanently installing a CB in the 2nd gen. Thanks!

I have a Cobra 75 WX ST....Control box is mounted under the passenger seat with velcro. Fuse tap from fuse panel provides 12 v. I use a Wilson
("Lil Will") mag mount antenna. Very easy install and easily concealed when not being used.

Mine is mounted just like the one above. The mic holder is on an Expedition Essentials 3TPAM.

My CB is set up in almost the same location. I have been using the cigarette lighter but get noise from the AC blower. Where did you tap into 12 volts?

Don’t overthink it, I overthought it for awhile and now have a bunch of mounting holes in my plastic. Ending up finding this was the best place, out of the way and convenient to access the controls. External speaker mount under seat.

I have two equipment ratcheting lines at the top of the radio and middle of the line. I drilled some holes and ran the lines through and anchored the fasteners inside the headliner and plastic upper console.

A magnet on the base of the radio and inside the headliner keep it in place.

When I use it, I can let go and the equipment lines pull it close to the headliner and I pop it back in place. It's convenient and allows me to disconnect the Midland 75-822 and transition to a handheld cb in seconds.

The ham however is hardwires and a bit more permanently mounted lol

3 inch lift with Toytec Boss and All Pro UCA's up front. AP expedition leafs with Bilstien 5100 shocks in the back. 255/85/16 Cooper S/T Max tires. All Pro skids, rear bumper and sliders, Hidden winch mount with XRC 8000 winch. Dual Optima batteries with IBS combiner/isolator and solar. CMC. Auto sliding rear window mod, hidden CB, CVJ axles and plenty of other little mods.
2nd for the Cobra 75 WX ST. Doesn’t get much cleaner than under the seat with only the mic connection showing when not in use.

Unfortunately the cobra 75 WX ST gets terrible reviews. 1 Star. They say it’s junk.

been using mine for over 5 years. Absolutely no complaints. Great range with proper antenna. Never listen to “they”

When there isn’t even one review over 1 Star on Amazon, it would be careless of me not to take notice. Glad yours is working for you.
