Dobinsons leaf pack question

Real quick question is anyone running dobinsons leaf pack with airbags am i going to need air bag spacers or could i get by without them?

 

I had to run airbags with my oem leafs to support the camper shell, I installed the Dobinson's and left the airbags off and I haven't had an issue, supports my cap just fine and rides like a dream. Could be different for what your carrying though.

 

Thanks for the input i have a20ft boat i pull in the summer time and would like to keep the bags installed if i could just for that

 

I'm not to much help, but I'm running ome mediums & didn't need a spacer for my air bags

 

That is much help appreciate that i would suspect the gap is about the same as ome’s BTW how you like the ome mediums? Squeaky?

 

I like everything about the ome's except the dang sqeak, I'll probably end up changing them out for deavers or something in the future

 

I have ran bags on stock springs and now on an 11 leaf pack. No spacer.

 

I might also add that the suspension is still super flexible with bags. No problems yet (Firestone bags) and I wheel Moab plus 7 other states each year.

Hhhhmm thats what steered me away from the ome leafs so trying to find a different alternative

 

This was the same reason I went with the Dobinson leafs, I kept reading to much about the OME squeaks.

 

How do you like the dobinsons? Axle roll?

 

They have been amazing so far, haven't had them on to long yet but for me its a huge upgrade coming from the stock leafpack. I was hitting bumpstops over dips and small bumps with those. These Dobinson's really stiffened it up but they are still very comfortable over bumps etc.

 

Sweet im gunna pull the trigger and order me some in the next week then... what shocks you running with them

 

I had jumped on the trd pro kit when they were on closeout, so the rear shocks are bilstein 5160's basically. If i didn't had got those for such a great deal I would of went with the Dobinson shocks. Crikeymike on here is also awesome to deal with and answer any questions, another reason I went with Dobinson. I ordered through him on exitoffroad.

 

Nice i will have to find him and see what kind of a deal he can hook me up with
