ALPINE ilx-f309

just installed the alpine ilx-f309, upgraded from the jbl/nav/entune/sub woofer, (NO APPLE CAR PLAY ) this screen is huge, the sound quality is 2x louder,crisp and very clean no plastic rattle for some reason. and apple car play, i use google maps daily and this is a life saver. never used jbl nav,my opinion for the ammount i payed for the system it sucked!! next time i get a new truck just am radio i will upgrade to my needs.. anyone looking for the jbl with nav i will be selling it

 

What's it look like from the side?

 

The box says "works with Apple Car Play." What does that mean exactly?

Alpine this summer will have the 12inch version.
I am using the hdmi feature so I can mirror the phone to it. ESPN, NETFLIX looks awesome onit. And sounds great!!

 

Does it swivel or tilt to adjust glare? Did you keep your steerwheel controls?

 

It does not swivel. There are five or six adjustments for up and down that I sent by screws. And there are two positions either straight up or slightly tilted backwards the first picture I have is straight up and then I adjusted it moved it down and tilted it back which is a little better. I kept my steering wheel controls

 

How much for the JBL? And will that surround fit an 06?

EDIT: I need to google things before I start asking questions, didn't realize that was the stock unit, probably won't work with my 06...
