I searched and searched for a glove box organizer for a first gen and came to the conclusion they don’t exist so I decided to make my own. I used a sheet of 12”x12” abs plastic, some plastic weld, then coated it with bedliner and here’s the outcome

I made something almost exactly like this on a laser cutter. I just used masonite since it's all I had at the time.
I attached the file here, just keep in mind it's designed for 1/8" material. I also remember I had to do some fine tuning afterwords.

At first I just saw the first pic, and I was like, yeah that's how I "organize" my glove box, too. lol

Only thing I'd do is cut the top plate back a bit to be flush with the sides of the glove box.

It actually does sit flush for some reason in that picture it’s pulled out a little tho. But regardless it needs some tweaking, sanding and another coat of paint still.

Looks good. I might have made one of the lower pockets wide enough to take fast-food napkins, a small stack of which lives in the glovebox of all my cars it seems. Perhaps the ones you've made *are* that size.

How do you join ABS plastic together?

I copied this design today with masonite pieces and laminated the entire thing with black Gorilla tape. No glue nor paint to have to wait to dry with this approach, and it works perfectly and looks good enough. Great idea, thanks for posting this.

Home Depot has ABS glue in plumbing. If you size the large horizontal piece to fit snugly so that it does not slide laterally, no torque will need to be supported at the glue joints if you locate the vertical pieces to fit snugly against the lower center hump and use a little gorilla tape to hold the bottom of the verticals in place.

I have one in my 97 that I purchased in 1997 from a Tacoma/4Runner accessory company that is no longer in business. I will take it out & shoot a couple pics to post. Good item to manufacture due to being a very useful item.

    Tasteful modifications :)
You have all the size dimensions and angles for this? I want to do something like this with my glove box as well. Thanks!

This pic isn't perfect, but you can scale it according to the ruler. I made a couple test pieces and this fit just about perfectly.

Regarding perspective: the camera is aimed straight down, the large piece is smaller at the top.
