Oh yeah, this is one of the reasons I mostly hang out in the 1st gen forums. Everyone is super cool. The rest of the forum is cool too but I think this is the place to be.

I spent a lot of time looking at the Aussie stuff. So many awesome builds.

Its one of the best low-key mods.

Its been so long... I don't recall if maybe I got 80% tint. I remember I got the one that you pretty much cannot tell its there, but if buying from a good/premium brand they have the data to show how much UV and energy it still blocks without blocking visible light.

    https://www.tnttinting.com/video/air-80-clear-front-windshield-heat-blocker-film-vehicles

    https://www.motortrend.com/news/3ms-window-films-block-heat-uv-rays-dark-tint-77391/

You can get some good energy blocking while being somewhat clear. I emphasize brand as I got my car done at a different place that was shady as HELL and they blasted 3M everywhere in the shop (on the walls, posters, flags etc) and kept mentioning it like compensating knowing its fake. That car, despite being "3M" and tinted all around gets really hot and I can feel the sun on my skin vs the truck it feels like shade. You get what you pay far, if the deal is too good they might be pushing fake tint/lower quality BS tint. (keeping in mind there are a lot of quality tiers within 3M but I think both times I got the middle'ish tier model).

My A/C thanks me, and every-time I get into my Truck parked in the hot sun in a hot parking lot, its a hell-of-a-lot better than a non-tinted car- or even that 'likely fake' tinted car.

Its essentially clear. The only time I can notice it is when wearing polarized sun glasses, you see different shades of colors- its kinda weird, but fine.

30 minutes work. Help to have an cordless ratchet cause the hand cranks are small and exhausting.

Amber LED footwell lights and amber cupholder lights, both on factory dimmer knob. They're not as bright as they appear, I used "nightsight" on my Pixel.

That's sharp. Looks great, and your Hazzard light works!
What LED did you use for the cup holders?

    I didn't know a hazzard that doesn't work was a thing. I'm lucky I guess!

I used LEDs like these https://www.amazon.com/EDGELEC-LED-...B2KCQHSVW5S&psc=1&refRID=Q1N8RGZFWB2KCQHSVW5S I melted a hole in the cup holder about the right size and shoved the LED in from the back side. Then in order to get the light to scatter (and be flush with the contour) I ground the end plastic off the LEDs to be flush. Tied all the wires into the light in the console PRNDL indicator light, since it's controlled with factory dimmer knob.
