Beautiful decals! Wish they kept that for their late model 1st gens. Gives a nice 90’s vibe

Your new wheels are killer. Kinda wish I had a 5 lug in the driveway too.

Thanks for your kind words! They are off a 2012 Lexus IS250 and I had to have the center bores machined out to 67.1mm to fit my 5 lug, then added the Toyota center caps of course!

I highly recommend getting a 5 lug - I have driven a lifted and locked 3rd gen 4runner on 285's for years and years, and am having waaaay more fun with this little truck than I even thought I would.

Kept the 4Runner too of course for off road and camping excursions, but its not a "regular cab" so won't post it here! ;)

Gotcha! It will be for a bit..

Added the aux input to an OEM edition,

but waiting for an aux/usb extension with an oem look coming all the way from China still to get a clean install into my center console:

Well if you wanna stay stock... but all that seems like too much work.

I went this route... and it looks real clean. This radio goes for about $200 online.

Yeahp, I suppose I am kind of odd that I prefer to see mostly oem stuff on my "vintage" truck! When new tech gets old it just looks out of place to me, where as oem stuff always looks right at home in my opinion.

You likely saw my "custom" wheels are oem, bucket seats are oem, now my radio will be oem "custom" too. This is the theme for my build mostly.. finding cheap oem stuff from pricier models and putting it on my stripped little 5 lug to make it more into the truck I think the factory should have made. I went for an alignment when I got my tires, and told the guy I wanted OEM shims if needed even.. no joke. Maybe I am well beyond kind of odd!! :alien:

But for me the end product I desire justifies the work I am willing to do, which really isnt too bad if you are already installing a new deck and running wires (the consoles come out quick, and my center console was purchased separately so doesn't need removing). Heck, I may even dare say I enjoy "working" on my truck..

But both setups above look pretty darn sweet though too, and obviously have their pro's as well!! I really like that they can easily be removed without ruining anything if you or some one down the road wants to go back to stock. The "world" is full of different Tacoma's and they all represent their owner to a degree, I for one love to see them all!!

Hope you saved your ash tray! :D:thumbsup:

my 99 2.7 5spd...weighs less than a corvette, fits into any compact car space but can still handle almost any off-road terrain. 117k original miles by me...
