Hey bro' you tried, thats all you can do.

Props to the OP for taking on the "rescue a dog" challenge. Its almost always tough for a time.. But sometimes all the patience, firmness to establish the Alpha presence is all for not, it seems that the abused animal involved goes one of two ways, the dog becomes totally submissive & regresses from human contact or its aggressiveness becomes pronounced & human contact is all it craves !! ( & not in the good way) The dog may respond & respect you as the alpha male but may be totally aggressive to other family members, this usually doesn't change & sadly the dog is sent back or worst case ,becomes a candidate for euthanization.

I have a "prong" collar for my 95 lb pitt mix. With a regular collar, he'll pull your ass everywhere..but with this collar it's a breeze to walk him. he stays right by my side when it's on him.

the aggressiveness, don't know what to tell ya. My boss has a little ankle biter they bring to the office and it has major aggression issues. He was never abused, they've had him since he was a puppy - he's just an asshole dog. they have tried everything to break him of it with no luck
