I’ve searched online looking for an answer can’t find it. Is there an OEM wiper blade insert, just the rubber piece itself, to replace the wiper? Not the entire housing just the blade.

I don't know about OEM, but you can buy aftermarket "refills". I like silicone, so I bought PIAA silicone refills. The issue is that the original rubber inserts are wider than usual for the length. To get around this (at least for the PIAAs I bought) you need to buy longer refills and then trim them to length yourself. Effort-wise, this is a non-issue, and you can use whatever brand/style you like.

Pretty sure my local dealer has them. You might check yours.

Never understood this. I get new wipers at Wal-Mart and they're the full metal and rubber blade. But you're saying there's a way to get just the rubber part only and replace it?

Yes the OEM blades do the best job and last the longest. When there worn just go to your dealer and buy the refills, it's just the rubber strip. There about 15 bucks each but well worth it.

As many as I can fabricate
I think I sold 12 sets of refills in 20 years and all of them were returned. OEM would be the answer, but for 5 bucks more, you get the whole deal....

    This ^^

I tried to buy the best silicone beam blade at Walmart, and they just don't compare to OEM. Returned them and order a set of oem refills from Ebay.

I still have the original blades on my 2017. OEMs are awesome.

I also have the original on my 2017. I've never seen any wipers last this long.

I picked up a couple pair of new Goodyear Assurance blades dirt cheap a couple years ago at a flea market. Still hanging on my garage wall and no plans yet to change my OEM.

I’m in sunny California where it never rains and the rubber part is cracked and leaves streaks. 2017 also.

Replaced stock wipers with Trico Force blades. A little pricey but do great in all weather. I usually replace wipers once each year. I kept the OEMs so maybe I’ll get a set of new inserts next time.

My 2017 still has the OEM rubber also.
No signs of cracks or significant wear.

Also it helps that my windshield is ceramic coated and I use the wiper spray at least once per day.

My 2016 blades are finally starting to come apart. I’m not mad though they’ve lasted 5 years almost. My 2009 accord also had the blade refills and they lasted me about 7 years before needing replaced
