This is my set up. I would say this will get you right at 2.5. I'm double cab 4wd. You may get a little higher in the front if you're just 2wd.

I vote to skip the AAL and get the Dakars. It's more expensive, but you'll be glad that you did.

X2 on the 885x and 5100s. I helped a buddy install those on his truck and I think his overall cost was under $1k. I'm closer to $1500 and his is WAY smoother. I feel like I'm in a Cadillac whenever I'm in his truck.

Once you get above 2.5" of lift, the general consensus is that you need to replace the UCAs.

I agree about the skipping the aal. I have a shell so my aal will need to be replaced soon. If you are planning on getting a shell or have any weight in the back, a new leaf pack will be worth it up front so you only have to buy once and install once.
I just looked up what I paid for my 885's and 5100's and I was at $488 shipped. Then I got a $20 1/4 spacer for the driverside taco lean and paid $80 shipped for a deaver aal on TW that was new so I'm in my whole suspension
    less than $600.00 right now.

Be mindful that springs are a wear item, you'll have to replace them down the road regardless

True, but a full leaf pack should last you many many many more years than just the single aal.

Oh I know, it’s definitely a good idea to get a whole new pack especially it’s a used truck. I just didn’t want somebody to say that you’ll never replace the pack again

Thanks @Gen2Tacoma for hooking it up with the paracord grab handles!

I have a feeling that my kids are going to love having something else to grab onto while climbing in the truck.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
    2nd Gen Sliders Needed

Anyone got sliders for a 2nd gen 4 door?
My neighbor is looking for a set. He doesn’t wheel this truck, but is liking to replace his beat to shit steps with some real metal.

I think this guy is more of a find a deal on a used set.
    Like a $300-400 deal

What size tires are you running? I have been thinking of bumping up a bit in height and running 285s.

Signing off for a bit gents, got a lot of work ahead of me and I don’t have cell service where I will be for awhile.
A few of you have my cell, and Little Josh does so if you want to reach out. Please do and leave a message.

Wanted to also say that it has been a pleasure to get to know each and everyone one of you. I have been amazed at the quality of people I have met on here.
