There's what I was able to pan out, clean up, and run by with a magnet.

Still some debris mixed in, but eh good enough for now.

    Was fun!

Still nothing but tiny flakes, looks like a whole lot more then it is.

Compared to what Drewmo was able to pull up, in the same amount of time, I would directly attribute it to the use of a production pan, which did some serious work.

I don't bother to classify or anything, I just scoop into my pyramid pro pan, rock it around till it's in a liquid state, then start slamming back and forth.

Add more shovels in untill the base is full of fine material, pull the plug into your concentrate container, and keep going.

Works like a charm for me.

However, lugging up 60lbs of concentrate wasn't ideal. My back is angry

Yep, moving material by hand is a young man's job. I've done my share and paid for it every time.

Keep looking and a chunk will come your way!

Did you drive to that spot or hike to it? I so want to hit some trails with my truck to find stuff like that.

This looks like my usual spots for backpacking in the sierras. I really need to bring my pan with me to try those places out.

Went up to Italian bar road to a forest rd 3n03 or something like that. Fun road nothing crazy but being alone for me (truck wise) is always a sketch idea. You can drive up then hike if you want I found a few camps so I'm assuming it's a good place to prospect.

Ok. That guy for sure wins the crazy war. So much geological info. Can’t keep up honestly. I’ll just stick to panning around some creeks for the time being before I get older/crazier like these guys
