So I finally installed my new Lomax cover. Well that was easy!!
It installed as per @Blue357 video and it was great help but the only thing I did not need to do is seal the bulkhead corners since I had a good seal already.

Here are some of the pictures.

Looks great!! The only thing different I did was to slide OEM tie down cleats into the rail between the support brackets as I put them in. I have 3 on each side.

Hey! Did you apply the weather seal very close to the top of the factory rail cover? My lomax will be arriving this Friday!

Yes I did make sure it was touching and compressing the seal on the top of the rail but we will see if it will need more attention and hope for no leaks. Hopefully the glue on the "D" seal holds up since it seamed a little weak but it wasn't to warm yesterday. I did use the hair dryer to warm it up a little at the ends but for the rest of the rail it's well compressed so should not be a problem.

I don't know why they call it a Texture Matt Black since it has a shine but still looks good.

The adhesive on the seal is excellent, I just put mine back on after it being off for 2 months in freezing conditions. Once it's pressed on with the bracket for awhile it's on.
I had the brackets off too I mean, and the seal stayed.

Hello all. New to Tacoma’s, just came from an f150. Couple questions for you. For you long term frequent users that fold it up often, how is the seams holding up? Still no water dripping or leaking? What is the distance from the bottom of the cover to the bed? If possible measuring from the bottom of the cover and the bottom of any cross bars that hang down. I have a couple coolers I bring with me a lot on trips that are a bit tall and was wondering if they will fit under the cover. Thanks in advance!!

We have customers that use the Lomax and are in construction that using their beds and Lomax daily with no issues. I have a friend that has one on his F250 and uses his bed 6 days a week and needs to open and close the Lomax. Not a single issue with his cover.

I had the same thing happen to me I was getting water come in at the area with the curve on the bed cap back of the bed. I had to get creative and add a strip of 1/16" x .5" weather stripping on that section. Right were I placed it but below the bed cover rail taped to the bed cap edge and the side "D" seal. You can see it stick out a little at the end of the cover rail see arrow.
The bottom line it passed hose test with a nozzle that put some pressure on the stream(zero water). Next I need some rain to see if resolved the issue. All in all it's a great cover and I would buy again no regrets.

I also sealed the gate all around.

Also had good results with the bulkhead seal I already had.

    Great seal in the back.

    20200304_180840.jpg

As you can see the water stayed on the outside of the cover.

I know I got the leak to stop using the weather strip but looking at my own pictures I was wondering if the bed cover rail shouldn't be out a bit more.
Letting my OCD get the better of me so I will make an adjustment later today.

Got my Lomax installed! Love it!

So the weather strip ripped a little bit from closing and opening the tail gate.

Also, I do notice water leak like Charlyc mentioned! Overall, the cover looks amazing!
