    Is there a specific suggested 7 pin receptacle that is suggested to best fit the cutout in the 2nd Gen high clearance bumper? Or will most any fit? Since it sits behind the plate, I'm betting a few I've looked at would not let the plate flip down correctly as they stick out from the mounting surface a bit more than a simpler/cheaper one.

    If I had a high clearance bumper a couple years earlier, I might still have the OEM one... oopsy.

    not for mine, I just drilled and tapped two screws and mounted above tag mount, clears swing out and can see trailer hitch fine too. I have to have it, I can't see chit out the back of my rear view...lol

    I "temporarily" zip tied mine to the passenger swingout on the lower rectangle tub closest to the middle of the truck. The stock wires just reach that spot and zip tied the wires along the swing out.

    Note: "temporarily" = 2+ years

    When I installed my bruteforcefab hybrid front bumper I had to cut up my king resi/sway bar relocation brackets to install my bumper reinforcement brackets. I finally got around to installing some icon resi mounts combined with icon sway bar relocation brackets (1 inch plate to push sway bar down and away from my coilovers). Turned out pretty good. I know there are BAMF bumper reinforcement brackets, but my money is going towards more needed parts for now.

    I should have taken a picture of my wife squeezing into my Habitat yesterday. Had a travel trailer on (not mine), and could only open the swingout about 15 degrees. She must have really wanted the trail mix outta the fridge.

    So yeah... I get the bed access thing!!! :thumbsup:

    haha broke it a few weeks ago just closing it (the pin that hinges the handle and the actual locking lever broke). I can keep it closed using a hitch pin but I want to replace it.
