Monday, I got new OME suspension, Method wheels and Duratrac tires. I'm pretty pleased with it although I have to take it back to have them re-do the alignment because it is pulling to the right.

Thanks. I do too. From a distance it looks like plain grey, but when you look at it closely it has a fine pearlescent finish.

I have the same truck and same tires, maybe a different size though. What size did you go with?

I went with 265/75R16. A little taller than the stock size with more sidewall.

Love it. Cement is the best color imo. I get pretty offended when people call my truck grey or silver.

I'll be getting Duratracs once there's a good sale.

Discount Tire Direct is running their Spring Thank You Event, which is up to 15% rebates, plus can be stacked with Mfg rebates. GY has $50 for Duratracs.

Back to the shop today for the 500 mile retorquing and to have the alignment re-done because it had a distinct pull to the right since the lift and alignment. That was all taken care of today, the truck tracks straight now.

The other reason I took it in today was squeaks over bumps. I found the noise difficult to localize, but I figured it was the leaves in the Dakar leaf pack squeaking. But when the mechanic drove the truck with much better ears than mine he said it was coming from the FRONT, and specifically the 2887 coils are rubbing on the sway bar causing the squeak. If you turn the wheels full lock right you can see where the coil is hitting the sway bar.

This shop does a lot of taco suspension work, and they had not seen this before. My 2018 SR5 had the exact same suspension parts installed and it didn't do this squeak. Figure there must be something different about the 2020 sway bar, maybe larger diameter or mounted differently. Or the TRD OR has a different sway bar than the SR5.

Anyway the mech googled for this issue and found a post here about there being a "sway bar relocation kit" designed to fix this problem.

Have any of you folks run into this?

This video shows the relocation brackets and how they work to provide the needed clearance.

It's weird that they do a lot of Toyota lifts and haven't run in to that because having to use the relocation brackets is really common, it's the same on 4Runners. In fact many kits usually come with those brackets, my King shocks have it built in to the remote reservoir mount and my BP51 kit just included the brackets.

Yep. Had the same setup on my 2nd gen and had exact same rub. Put on sway bar relocation kit, boom, fixed.

    A few.
Those Goodyears are fairly light for that style of tire. Hows the ride?
