When I lived in the DC suburbs (Centreville, Virginia) from 2002 to 2005, one of my neighbors (I believe he was a cop) owned a Scarab that looked a lot like the boat in your picture; The property is definitely a billionaire's property, but I've seen boats nicer than that sitting in the driveways of homes that were worth less than a million dollars even before the real estate bubble burst!

 

That's just his house/fun boat. Mid 90s go fast boat, I can't remember what brand, but its got about 1500hp. His other boat is 233' and stays in France mostly: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skat_(yacht)

My dad has a 2004 Larson 17-footer that he bought in 2015. Unfortunately, his whole reason for buying it was to use it a few times a year at my Grandma's lake house in Maine...

We used it once in the summer of 2015, and then it broke down in the summer of 2016; The boat is fixed, but it's been in storage since 2016, we haven't been up there since then, and now my Grandma wants to sell the house. Now my dad wants to sell it, and I'm a bit upset...

Last time I was at the property (you can look it up, it's called the Windows 2000 home, because it has 2000 windows) he had bought the neighbors house and was tearing it down to expand his house another 5,000sq/ft
