The pros are 24 watts so; watts/volts=amps, 5-10 watt relay is all you need. I usually go 20, but that’s just because of what I get. Also 18 gauge is standard wire size. I realize we’re in PM now, BUT for anyone else with questions.

Yeah I think I said something ridiculous up above like 12. The harness I'm redoing is all 18 like you say, didn't realize until I looked closer at it.

I finally got around to installing phase 1 of my sound upgrade. This resulted in me purchasing the KICKER Subaru Speaker set.

Its a very straight forward install involving using a trim piece removal tool to pry up the corner speaker covers on the dash.
    IMG_2478.jpg

And then just use a 10mm Wrench to loosen the bolts. Once you loosen them a bit you can pretty much use your hands to remove them the rest of the way. You can see how crappy the speakers are compared to the new ones below:

The sound is so much better just with the Tweeter upgrade alone. It really brings the vocals to life. My next phase is to install the Kicker 6x9's in the doors and then my mono amp and JL Audio 10" Subwoofer.

Anyone here running the OEM Audio Plus system?

Strongly eyeing that up. I've already got the JBL which I'm sure you all know is the pinnacle of sound, so I don't reaaaally need to upgrade it, except that if you have the JBL you probably know why I'm considering it.

Installed my Meso Ultimate turns last night after work. Such an improvement over stock.

Replaced pads and rotors, first new set at 71k
Question: Right before coming to a stop with the old set, it would make a howling noise, now with the new stuff, still making the sound, any one know why? Thanks

Are they ceramic or semi-metallic? There's a break in period where they can be noisy... some ceramics are always noisy. Organic pads (the cheap stuff) tends to be less howly.

I personally didn't need to, But on the drivers side I think I was a little too rough because you do have to take it off at an angle. So I broke one of the clips. It doesn't affect anything its just I took it off too quick and with too much force.

seriously considering OEM Audio+ too. need to find someone local to demo it. 50 isn't loud enough anywhere.

I also have the JBL and am not happy with the volume and clarity/crispness while connected via Bluetooth. I am quite satisfied with the USB stick and radio volume and clarity.

    Still in progress...
The cloth seats are still hair and sand traps - will be replaced soon. Unfortunately they were the only available option on an AC.
