Whats up everyone, did the good old forum scavenger hunt for anyone with a similar issue leak, but couldn't find one, hence the post.

Have had the SnugTop Rebel for 4 years now, never leaked on me once. SoCal been getting a ton more rain than usual this winter. I realized the driver side window on the shell was leaking, which was soaking the bed rug, which was draining down the bed yada yada.

Took the shell in twice for reseals, as in they took the window out and resealed the bastard. Today realized it was still leaking, so went in the back of the truck to do more investigating. The only area around the window that was wet was here (see pic)Pic1.jpg
as you can see, its seeping down on to the rails by the darker shade of the bed rug and the actual rail itself. No other part around the window is wet. So I looked closer and this is what I found. Pic2.jpg
That rubber is supposed to be at a 90 degree angle, a view from further back.Pic3.jpg
This "hole" is in the exact spot where the leak seems to be coming from. I then went to the outside and saw this:Pic4.jpg
Same corner, but from the outside. Further back view:Pic5.jpg
It seems the rubber seal around the glass has peeled in those corners. I compared this side to the passenger side. Exterior peeling a bit, but the interior doesn't have a hole like the driver side does.

Soooooo, what do you guys think... did I find my leak? The Window channel is still in between the hole and the actual bed rug, but the position of the two trims coming up and the location of the wetness seems too close to not coincide. Was thinking of throwing some silicone on those parts once it drys up. Open to ideas and recommendations. Thanks everyone.

That’s what I’m thinking. Wanted to post in case someone else has had this issue prior to me. Maybe I’m a unicorn...

Over time those seals shrink in length opening up at the corners and where the two ends meet. Either goop it or get new seals. The frame to shell seal should last much better than those rubber pieces.

Lots of silicone. My old shell I hade for 13 years. when I got rid of it the rubber seals in some spots had shrunk so much there were half inch gaps everywhere.

I have the same issue as o1x4. I believe I found the problem however. I think that water enter by the rear window, between the window and the tailgate, in the corners. I tried parking my truck with the rear a little lower during last rain storm and it seems like that worked, no wetness inside. Will monitor in future, but think that in my case it might be the solution

Yup. Back corner where tailgate and back window meet. Been parking w front of truck at a higher angle and no more water getting in back.
