I came out to go to work one time and my tailgate was down, and my neighbors was gone, he said he didn't feel the need to spend the 20 bucks, now he spent 300 on a tailgate and still has to get it color matched. And he will spend the 20 bucks anyway, I just gave him one, he is my neighbor, lol

 

Well I did the hose clamp until I bought yours. The hose clamp could be cut off or unscrewed and didn’t quite sit right and of course it looks a bit ghetto

 

That's what started me making the Anti theft devise, the whole ghettoness of the hose clamp

 

Then later if you need to get it off, alittle heat will soften the jb weld enough to get it out

 

I'm now offering a T45 stainless tamper proof screw as an option with the ATD

Still lotta people out there that can drive stick...just on a news couple people got hired to steal couple cars at a used dealership cuz they knew how to drive a manual. They got caught though yes but, the damage was already done.

Does the $3.50 cover the screw and shipping?

I had to use a regular bolt when the original one was virtually stripped before I had it professionally removed.

Special meaning you can buy the driver from Home Depot/comes in pretty much every basic kit these days, yes. You need that.

it’s a torx with a hole in it.

 

Yep, you now have to buy a T45 security Torx so the cost of that screw went up to $7.00.

Hey Chris, as not everyone has the right hardware stores available, you should offer a T-washer (or a flat washer with an attached spacer) along with 2 tamper resistant torx bolts to also secure the cable eyes on the tailgate support cables. It would make your system even more secure. I always appreciate good looking designs, you did well.
