Hello all. So I was looking through the forums trying to research best options. But there are not many with 2020 off road models so I'm not sure what will work.

I bought a 2020 TRD Off Road with the non-JBL stereo. I am looking to upgrade the stereo to an aftermarket stereo and subwoofer.

I have read some threads about what people have done with custom subwoofers and maps. But has anyone upgraded to an aftermarket stereo in the 2020s? I want to see how they will look or even what the options are. If you have any pics please share. Thank you!

i had a pioneer in my last tacoma for years, i had the 5200 nex which is def a step down from that one but man did i have a ton of issues with it.
i just got a 2020 as well and im really looking into the halo. but it might be awful for offroading. i havent found a solid review of the halo9 yet.

I would LOVE to find a replacement for the factory head unit that fits as well as the factory one does. It's all screen and buttons, virtually zero bezel and the buttons are big with easy to read letters. A big, blank plastic bezel is just wasted space.

I wonder what Android units fit 2020 without major cutting to the bezel.

I used the Joying android unit that @5nahalf used.

Once I got the right harness from Joying, everything worked great, including the steering wheel controls and backup cam, my trip info even seems to be correct. I wish I'd have taken better pictures from the get go - the harness that came with it might be the harness that ultimately worked.

There are still a few quirks, like the door open indicator is incorrect, but the fit is excellent and the performance has been WAY better than my stock unit. I did have to do some minor trimming on the back side of the dash bezel to get the screen to sit closer to flush, but as far as installations go, it was very straightforward.

    5nahalf and Flkracker like this.

That looks nice! Wish it would fit in a 2018 Camry. Entune 3.0 sucks. For my Taco I'm happy with my Entune 2.0 JBL though. Seems like for the 3.0 update Toyota really jumped the shark.

You should see what they or dasiata have available for the camry. That one is actually for a 2017 corolla I believe
