Steelies??

Hey, I'm looking for some opinions about the wheels and tires I put on my taco? NATO style rims with Toyo Open Country (255/85/16). I think it looks cool as fuk but are there any functional disadvantages to steel rims?

Those wheels look awesome. Looking to do the same.Wondering where you bought them? Did the factory tire pressure sensors fit them?

 

I like the look! Has an old school rugged look to it.

 

I got them on eBay. Brand new for 273.00. TPS fits.

I run FJC Steelies painted white with Blizzaks in the winter;



I think they look good and are a nice change from summer alloys.

 

They're definitely heavier than alloys, lifting the stock TRD OR wheels even against SR5 steel wheels.

These are next year's winter wheels.

Yo, this is what I want to do for my 2018 Taco. Did you also modify/ lift the suspension to accommodate those rim and tire?
