I have a 2020 TrdOff 4x4 6speed, I am installing the rear speakers right now. I tested the left rear speaker and it matches the polarity and wire color as described above. The Right rear speaker polarity is backwards as described. Mine is blue+ and green-. I don’t know if it is just my truck model but I would test the speakers just in case.

Although most ears can't hear if a speaker is out of phase, it simply reduces the overall bass response it won't hurt the equipment.

For starters, is it really as simple for our years (2020+) as running the 8 speaker wire output from the HU to the input of the amp; output from amp back to the output of the HU output to the speakers? I’m using the popular wiring harness, planning to cut it in half to make all this happen (if correct). Problem is, I’m not sure the amp inputs/outputs are the same as the HU outputs.

Crutchfield had different colors in the diagram they gave me; this is what mine looks like.

Those are the colors of the factory harness which do not match the colors once they reach the door or the colors on the tacotuesday harness or kicker harness. The colors listed above on this thread are the wire colors at the speakers FYI.

If you have the TT add a sub harness just cut it in half and match it up to the wires on the Key harness. Those colors are a direct match. Just make sure you get the right gender plug on the right sides.

Thanks man. Just to be crystal clear, cutting this (RED WOLF Add AMP Amplifier Subwoofer Speaker Wiring T-Harness Radio Stereo Plug Connector Compatible with Toyota 2018-2022 Camry RAV4 Tacoma Corolla Non-JBL System https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09DTY8PMD?_encoding=UTF8) and matching it to factory HU and kicker harness at the same orientation will work? I wasn’t sure if the pin/speaker location was the same.

I have the harness from T a c oTunes (blocked here) but I just confirmed and it is wired exactly like the one you linked.

So yes, cut that in half and splice each half to the input/output harnesses that came with the kicker. The wire colors will match. The connector that Amazon shows as “to amplifier” will connect to the back of your head unit.

    They get banned or something?

The problem is that they don’t exactly match up (white and gray are swapped). Simply keep track of which wires I spliced to which at that point, or does that mean the speaker input is actually swapped and I should splice gray speed wire output to the gray input?

If you saw the comment I just deleted ignore that. Never mind the orientation of the connectors, that doesn’t matter. Just match the colors together.
